Access7’s Saskatchewanderer Wins Best Community Television Production at Yorkton Film Festival

Regina, SK – Access Communications’ Saskatchewanderer 2016 took home the national award for Best Community Television Production on the weekend at the Yorkton Film Festival. The show is produced by Tourism Saskatchewan, in partnership with Ministries of Agriculture, Economy, Parks, Culture and Sport, and Aristea Artists; through the work of Neil Fisher and Dana Lesiuk.

Saskatchewanderer 2016 was one of two nominations in the category for Access. The other nomination was award winning RezX, a community-produced indigenous lifestyle show.

“With two nominations and the win, we couldn’t be more excited about the quality of our community programming on Access7,” said Access Communications Community Programming Manager Wade Peterson. “Through our community producers, production staff and social media support, we will continue to build momentum with our upcoming programs on the horizon.”

Saskatchewanderer highlights all the great things to see and do that make Saskatchewan a great place to live, work, play and visit. All episodes of the program are currently available on AccessOnDemand for AccessTV subscribers in available communities.
