Every child deserves a chance to grow and thrive, no matter where they come from. The harsh reality is, there are children facing challenges every day. The Access Communications Children's Fund (ACCF) goal is to change that. The ACCF's primary purpose is to provide financial assistance to programs and projects that promote education, health, and social inclusion among young people. The aim is to empower children and foster their potential.

The Access Communications Children's Fund has been a champion, providing vital assistance to programs that nourish minds, build confidence, and create a brighter future for all since 1992. To date, the Fund has donated over 4.1 million. By working with local charities, we are helping to make a significant difference in the lives of at-risk, in-need, most vulnerable children and youth in the communities in which we serve. 

Feeding the Future: One of the standout programs supported by the Children's Fund is Regina Food For Learning (RFFL), which is dedicated to combating food insecurity among at-risk youth in Regina schools. The Fund recently donated $15,000, enabling RFFL to continue its mission to provide nourishing school meals. The commitment to ensuring that every child has access to food is profound. 

As RFFL shared, "Many of the students we serve come from environments where poverty is a common denominator, leading to food insecurity at home. By providing meals in schools, we offer a safe space for children to access food, which for many, may be the only nutrition they receive in a day." The impact is evident: when students are well-nourished, they are better prepared academically and behaviorally. The gratitude expressed by RFFL highlights the rippling effect of this support: "Thanks to benefactors like Access Communications, we can continue to feed 1,090 children in 17 schools for the 2024-25 school year. Their generous contribution will provide meals for our children for an entire month of school. Our collective goal is healthy, nourished children thriving in school and in life." 

Empowering Connections: Another beneficiary is Rooted Connections, which received a $15,000 donation from the Access Communications Children's Fund. This support has been instrumental in launching their impactful Youth Mentorship Program. With these funds, Rooted Connections has successfully introduced a six-week boxing program in collaboration with New Line Box Academy, helping participants build both physical skills and confidence. Additionally, they are currently running "My Inner Canvas," a six-week art therapy program that encourages self-expression and emotional growth among the youth. The impact of these programs is immeasurable, as they foster a sense of belonging and personal development. 

As expressed by Rooted Connections: "Your contribution has truly made a difference, and we are deeply grateful for your commitment to supporting our mission. Thank you for helping us empower and uplift the youth in our community!" 

Moving Forward Together: The contributions from the Access Communications Children's Fund support these organizations and help create lasting change in the lives of children and youth. The Fund focuses on the areas of Health & Wellness, Education & Literacy, and Social Inclusion, laying a solid foundation for brighter futures.
