Access Communications Co-operative (Access) is airing two nights of debates ahead of the October 28, 2024, Provincial Election. Decision 2024: Provincial Election Debate is produced by the Regina & District Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) and will air on AccessNow TV Community Channels (province-wide) on October 7 & 8.
“Airing political debates is essential to fostering an informed and engaged community,” said Carmela Haines, President and CEO of Access. “We are committed to providing an impartial platform where all political parties have the opportunity to share their perspectives, allowing our viewers and community to make well-informed decisions ahead of the provincial election.”
The debates will be moderated by Lisa Peters, host of Talk of the Town (in Regina and area). The format for the debates is the moderator asks a series of questions and each candidate will have a specific time limit to answer each question. Topics for the debates are being determined by a Chamber member poll. In addition, the Chamber will host a panel discussion with local Regina business leaders in between the two debates each night.

All debates will air on AccessNow TV (province-wide), the AccessNow App, and the AccessNow TV’s YouTube Channel (@AccessNowTV). Participation is based on criteria set by the Chamber, with eligible parties sending candidates to participate.
Debate Schedule:
October 7 – 5:30 to 7 p.m.
October 7 – 7 - 7:55 p.m. – Election Panel Discussion (featuring local business leader guests)
October 7 – 8 to 9:30 p.m.
October 8 – 5:30 to 7 p.m.
October 8– 7 - 7:55 p.m. – Election Panel Discussion (featuring local business leader guests)
October 8 – 8 to 9:30 p.m.
Local media are invited to attend and participate in post-debate interviews.
