28th Annual Access Communications Pumpkin Patrol is Back!

Access Communications Co-operative (Access) is excited to announce Pumpkin Patrol will be hitting the streets on Halloween night for a 28th year. The safety awareness program sees staff and volunteers from Access patrolling nine communities across the province helping to keep Trick or Treaters safe.

“Halloween is a special night for family and friends to come together with their kids to have fun, and  collect some candy,” said President & CEO of Access Carmela Haines. “If Trick or Treaters see danger and need assistance, we will be in our  vehicles, ready to assist by contacting law enforcement.”

Access vehicles will be equipped with a flashing orange light, glow-in-the-dark signage, and a direct link to local law enforcement. Volunteers will be driving around neighbourhoods from 5 - 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 31, in the following communities: North Battleford (The Battlefords), Estevan, Martensville, Melville, La Ronge (Air Ronge), Regina, Warman, Weyburn, and Yorkton. If anyone needs help, they can waive down an Access vehicle and the staff and volunteers inside will contact local police services to get the child the help they need.

Families that choose to trick or treat are advised to visit www.saskhealthauthority.ca for the most up-to-date recommendations for safely enjoying Halloween.

Access Communications Pumpkin Patrol is sponsored by Harvard Media and delivered thanks to the support of local police and RCMP services and WPD Ambulance Services in North Battleford.
