Regina, SK – Applications are now open for the Access Communications Doug Alexander Scholarship Program. The program awards up to 20 students with scholarship awards of $1,000. High school graduates in communities served by Access Communications are eligible for the award.
Established in 2005, the Access Communications Doug Alexander Scholarship Program has awarded more than $380,000 to nearly 1,400 students since its inception. The program’s scholarship recipients don’t just exhibit academic excellence – they demonstrate a genuine passion for volunteerism, giving their time to improve their communities.
“Our scholarship program doesn’t just focus on grades – we’re looking for the exceptional young people who make their communities better,” said Fran Moran, Communications Manager at Access Communications. “Having interviewed the incredible students from last year, we know the difference today’s youth can make in the province. And we’re honoured to help them as they continue on their educational journey.”
The program was renamed in 2020 in honour of the late Doug Alexander, Community Relations Manager at Access Communications, recognizing his lifelong commitment to community improvement.
