Regina, SK – Access Communications (Access) is proud to announce it will be the official broadcaster of the 47th Annual Estevan United Way Telethon. The 33-hour event takes place on October 13, & 14, 2023. It kicks off at 8 a.m. on the 13th, running until 5 p.m. on the 14th.
“The spirit of Estevan comes alive during the telethon,” says Tracey Mucha, Access’s Senior Manager Community Engagement. “Access Communications is honoured to be a part of this monumental event for the community and surrounding area, capturing the essence of giving and support shown to those in need in the community.”
Last year the telethon raised almost $350,000 providing vital support for the programs and services of the Estevan United Way. The local United Way focuses on three key areas, including:
- Moving people from poverty to possibility,
- Helping kids be all they can be, and
- Building strong and healthy communities.
"The community's generosity knows no bounds, and it is through events like these that we are able to create a significant impact in the lives of those who need it the most,” said Michelle Beaulieu, President, Estevan United Way Telethon.
This year's telethon is now accessible through the AccessNow TV App, enhancing the event's reach and convenience for people to participate. With this feature, anyone can easily tune into the telethon on their mobile devices, tablets, or smart TVs. This enhancement not only broadens the event's audience but also makes it more convenient for viewers to have a positive impact on those the Estevan United Way serves.
