REGINA, SASKATCHEWAN – The season’s “must watch” television event, the Regina Humane Society Telethon, presented by Access Communications, will air Sunday, April 3rd. This evening of love, stories of triumph and adorable pets looking for a new family to call their own, will warm the heart of any animal lover.
The Regina Humane Society (RHS) Telethon, is a 3-hour show that will feature behind-the-scenes looks at RHS programs and services and the life-changing stories of animals who have benefited from them. Visits from adopted pets and their new families will show how “happy-ever afters” happen every day thanks to the community’s support. Pets still waiting for adoption star in the show accompanied by hosts including country performer Chris Henderson and perennial favourite Rory Allen as well as local media personalities.
“The Telethon is really a celebration of our community and its commitment to our animals,” says Bill Thorn, Director of Marketing and Public Relations at the RHS. “The RHS could not be there for animals in need were it not for donor support of the Society and events such as the telethon”.
Your support of the telethon will allow the RHS to continue to save the lives of thousands of homeless, abused and neglected animals in our community and give them a second chance at a happy, healthy life. One-time or monthly donations in any amount make a huge difference in the lives of animals in need. To help the animals even more, the RHS has introduced a new 50/50 draw for 2022, that will see not only the animals win, but someone will also win up to $15,000 in cash!
Hosted at AccessNow TV studios, the telethon is a major fundraising initiative for the Society. “The Telethon makes a difference in the lives of our furry community members, and we’re thrilled once again to support the Regina Humane Society,” said Tracey Mucha, Community Programming Manager for Access Communications.
The Regina Humane Society 34th Annual Telethon airs 6 p.m. - 9 p.m., Sunday, April 3, 2022, on AccessNow TV (in high definition #507 | standard definition #7) and live-streamed at https://www.myaccess.ca/rhs.
