Regina, SK – Access Communications Co-operative (Access) is excited to announce the Access Communications Community Rink will open tomorrow, Thursday, December 19, for a seventh winter.
“The Community Rink has become a cherished winter-tradition for Access and families in our community,” said Tracey Mucha, Access’s Senior Manager of Community Engagement. “We’re thrilled to be able to provide this fun, safe, and free option to learn to skate and enjoy winter together.”
The rink is in the Access Communications Community Park at 2250 Park Street (north side of the Access building). Helmet and skate rentals are available in a wide range of sizes for free during the supervised operating hours which are:
• Thursdays: 6 – 8 p.m.
• Saturdays: 12 – 7 p.m.
• Sundays: 12 – 5 p.m.
The public is free to use the rink outside of these hours, but skaters must bring their own skates and helmets.
Please note this is a learn to skate and leisure rink. It’s not to be used with hockey equipment. Sticks and pucks are not permitted for the safety of the other skaters, the surrounding public, and the integrity of the rink structure.
Access wants to thank our current sponsors that make the rink possible including Bassendowski Insurance & Financial Services, Access Communications Children’s Fund, GSD Strategies, Regina Pats Hockey Club, Extreme Hockey, and Sherwood Co-op.
Grab your skates and join us for some fun this winter! We look forward to seeing you at the rink. To learn more about our rink, visit myaccess.ca/communityrink.
