The 33rd Annual Regina Humane Society Telethon set to air March 14 on AccessNow TV

Regina, SK – The most anticipated animal event of the year, this heart-warming evening of stories of love, triumph and adorable pets looking for a new family to call their own, is a “must watch” for any animal lover.

The Regina Humane Society (RHS) Telethon, presented by Access Communications Co-operative, is a major annual fundraiser for the RHS.  The 3-hour show will feature behind-the-scenes looks at RHS programs and services and the life-changing stories of animals who have benefited from them.  Visits from adopted pets and their new families will show how “happy-ever afters” happen every day thanks to the community’s support. Pets still waiting for adoption star in the show accompanied by hosts including country performer Chris Henderson, perennial favourite Rory Allen, and other local media personalities.

“The past year has been a challenge for our fundraising efforts,” says Deanne Guest, Director of Development at the RHS.  “With many of our events cancelled, the success of the Telethon has become even more important to our ability to help animals”.

Your support of the Telethon will allow the RHS to continue to save the lives of thousands of homeless, lost and abused animals in our community and give them a second chance at a happy, healthy life.  One-time or monthly donations in any amount make a huge difference in the lives of animals in need.

Hosted at AccessNow TV studios, the Telethon is a major fundraising initiative for the Society. “The Regina Humane Society does incredible work throughout the year, and we’re honoured to assist in hosting and broadcasting this telethon live on our community channels,” said Tracey Mucha, Community Programming Manager for Access.

The Regina Humane Society 33rd Annual Telethon airs 6:00-9:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 14 on AccessNow TV (in high definition channel 507 | standard definition channel 7), and live-streamed at www.myaccess.ca/accessnow/live.
