Regina, SK – The Access Communications Pumpkin Patrol returns on Halloween Night. A Saskatchewan tradition for 25 years, Pumpkin Patrol is a safety awareness program with Access Communications staff and volunteers out on patrol in 11 communities across the province.
Pumpkin Patrol volunteers will be in Access Communications vehicles – equipped with a flashing orange light, glow-in-the-dark signage and a direct link to local law enforcement. Volunteers will be driving around neighbourhoods from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm on Sunday, October 31st in the following communities: the Battlefords, Estevan, Martensville, Melville, La Ronge, Air Ronge, Regina, Warman, Weyburn, and Yorkton.
“Pumpkin Patrol is a safety awareness program, first and foremost,” said Fran Moran, Communications Manager at Access Communications. “While we recognize that the COVID-19 pandemic will impact Halloween participation, Access believes in doing our part to keep our communities safe. For families who choose to trick or treat, our stellar volunteers will be out on patrol, following recommended health guidelines.”
Families that choose to trick or treat are advised to visit www.saskhealthauthority.ca for the most up-to-date recommendations for safely enjoying Halloween and other fall activities.
Access Communications Pumpkin Patrol is sponsored by Harvard Broadcasting and delivered thanks to the support of local police and RCMP services, as well as WPD Ambulance Services in North Battleford.
